Founder of DEFENCY
Sascha M. Kessel is the managing director of DEFENCY and has been in the security industry for over 20 years.
Before founding Defency, Sascha managed Competence Center Cyber for 5 years, at one of the largest international insurance brokers in the DACH region.
Among the main tasks in the still young insurance sector was the development and sustainable establishment of leading cyber insurance concepts. This began with easy-to-digest entry-level products for SMEs, all the way through to individual insurance programs for global corporations.
With his background in classic security, he is a boon to the insurance industry with his vast experience in organised crime and homeland security, as well as information security.
Sascha has been a certified ISO/IEC 27005 Risk Manager since October 2020, a certified ISO/IEC 27035 Incident Response Manager since November 2021 and an insurance business economist since 2013.
